قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ . وحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : أَهْدَى أَبُو جَهْمِ بْنُ حُذَيْفَةَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَمِيصَةً شَامِيَّةً لَهَا عَلَمٌ ، فَشَهِدَ فِيهَا الصَّلَاةَ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ ، قَالَ : " رُدِّي هَذِهِ الْخَمِيصَةَ إِلَى أَبِي جَهْمٍ ، فَإِنِّي نَظَرْتُ إِلَى عَلَمِهَا فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَكَادَ يَفْتِنُنِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed in a cloak which had designs and patterns on it. After finishing the prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Its designs distracted me, so take this cloak to Abu Juhm and bring me a plain cloak."
