حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ ، وَمَسْرُوقٍ ، أنهما قَالَا : نَشْهَدُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : " مَا كَانَ يَوْمُهُ الَّذِي يَكُونُ عِنْدِي إِلَّا صَلَّاهُمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِي تَعْنِي : الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) regarding the two rak'ahs after Asr that whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me on any day, he definitely performed two rak'ahs after Asr.
