حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ ، فَسَأَلْتُهَا عَنْ غُسْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ ؟ قَالَتْ : " كَانَ يُؤْتَى بِإِنَائِهِ فَيَغْسِلُ يَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا ، ثُمَّ يَصُبُّ مِنَ الْإِنَاءِ عَلَى فَرْجِهِ فَيَغْسِلُهُ ، ثُمَّ يُفْرِغُ بِيَدِهِ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى الْيُسْرَى فَيَغْسِلُهَا ، ثُمَّ يُمَضْمِضُ ، وَيَسْتَنْشِقُ ، ثُمَّ يُفْرِغُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثَلَاثًا ، ثُمَّ يَغْسِلُ سَائِرَ جَسَدِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to perform ghusl after janabah, he would first wash both his hands three times, then take the vessel with his right hand and pour water onto his left hand, then wash his private parts thoroughly, then wash that hand thoroughly, rinse his mouth three times, put water into his nose three times, wash his face three times, wash his hands three times, pour water on his head three times, and then pour water over the rest of his body.
