حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَيْمُونَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْأَحْوَصِ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا مَرَّ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ ذُكِرَ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَهُ ، فَقَالَ : " بِئْسَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَأَخُو الْعَشِيرَةِ " ، ثُمَّ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَأَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِ بِوَجْهِهِ حَتَّى ظَنَنَّا أَنَّ لَهُ عِنْدَهُ مَنْزِلَة .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and sought permission to enter. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Give him permission to enter; he is a very bad man of his tribe." When he entered, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke to him gently, to the extent that we began to think that he held some status and position in the eyes of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
