حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ أَوْ لَمْ يُصَلِّ إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، أَقُولُ : يَقْرَأُ فِيهِمَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform the (Sunnah of Fajr) so briefly that I would say, "Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recite Surah Al-Fatiha or not?"
