حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُغِيرَةُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَكَانُ الْكَيِّ التَّكْمِيدُ ، وَمَكَانُ الْعِلَاقِ السَّعُوطُ ، وَمَكَانُ النَّفْخِ اللَّدُودُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Instead of treating with cauterization, use poultice; instead of suspending amulets around the neck, put medicine in the nose; and instead of incantations and blowing, put medicine in the mouth. (These alternatives are available.)
