حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ : " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَمُتْ حَتَّى كان يُصَلِّي كَثِيرًا مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the age of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) increased and his blessed body became filled with flesh, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mostly began to perform prayers while sitting.
