حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا
مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ
الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ
عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ
عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" مَا مِنْ مَرَضٍ ، أَوْ وَجَعٍ يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ ، إِلَّا كَانَ كَفَّارَةً لِذَنْبِهِ ، حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةِ يُشَاكُهَا ، أَوْ النَّكْبَةِ يُنْكَبُهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whenever a thorn pricks a Muslim or he suffers any affliction or illness even less than that, it becomes an expiation for his sins.
