حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " أُدْرِجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ثَوْبٍ حِبَرَةٍ ، ثُمَّ أُخِذَ عَنْهُ " . قَالَ الْقَاسِمُ : إِنَّ بَقَايَا ذَلِكَ الثَّوْبِ لَعِنْدَنَا بَعْدُ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was wrapped in a striped Yemeni cloak, and later it was removed. Qasim says that a part of that cloth is still with us.
