حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " صَلَاتَانِ لَمْ يَتْرُكْهُمَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سِرًّا وَلَا عَلَانِيَةً رَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that there are two prayers which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) never abandoned, whether in secret or openly: two rak'ahs after Asr and two rak'ahs before Fajr.
