حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا دَوُادُ يَعْنِي الْعَطَّارَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : " تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ شَبِعَ النَّاسُ مِنَ الْأَسْوَدَيْنِ : التَّمْرِ وَالْمَاءِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) departed from this world at a time when people would fill their stomachs with two black things, that is, water and dates.
