حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحَارِثُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنِ امْرَأَتِهِ ، أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ ؟ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا عَلِيٌّ مِنْ سَفَرٍ ، فَقَدَّمْنَا إِلَيْهِ مِنْهُ ، فَقَالَ : لَا آكُلُهُ حَتَّى أَسْأَلَ عَنْهُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : فَسَأَلَهُ عَلِيٌّ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كُلُوهُ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ إِلَى ذِي الْحِجَّةِ " .
A woman asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the meat of sacrifice, so she replied that once Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) returned to us from a journey, and we presented him with the meat of sacrifice. He said, "I will not eat it until I ask the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about it myself." So he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about it, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You may eat it from one Dhul-Hijjah to the next Dhul-Hijjah."
