حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، عَنْ عَرْفَجَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا ، فَقَالَ : " لَقَدْ صَنَعْتُ الْيَوْمَ شَيْئًا وَدِدْتُ أَنِّي لَمْ أَفْعَلْهُ ، دَخَلْتُ الْبَيْتَ ، فَأَخْشَى أَنْ يَجِيءَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ أُفُقٍ مِنَ الْآفَاقِ ، فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُ دُخُولَهُ ، فَيَرْجِعُ وَفِي نَفْسِهِ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me and said: I had entered the Ka'bah, then I thought that I should not have done so because I fear that in this way I might have put my Ummah into hardship after me.
