Hadith 25171

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned Hazrat Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), he would praise her greatly. One day, I felt jealous and said, "Do you keep mentioning that old woman with red gums so frequently, who has died, while Allah has given you better wives in her place?" The face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became as red as it would only become at the time of the descent of revelation, or when clouds would gather and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would see whether it was a sign of mercy or a sign of hardship.
