حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي عُتْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهُ تُصُدِّقَ عَلَى بَرِيرَةَ مِنْ لَحْمِ الصَّدَقَةِ ، فَذُهِبَ بِهِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقِيلَ : إِنَّهُ مِنْ لَحْمِ الصَّدَقَةِ ؟ قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا هُوَ لَهَا صَدَقَةٌ ، وَلَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once some meat given as charity came to Barirah from somewhere. She sent it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as a gift. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was informed that this meat was from charity. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It was charity for her, but now it has become a gift for us."
