حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : فَقَدْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ أَتَى بَعْضَ جَوَارِيهِ ، فَطَلَبْتُهُ ، فَإِذَا هُوَ سَاجِدٌ ، يَقُولُ : " رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي مَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once I did not find the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on my bed. I thought perhaps he had gone to one of his maidservants, so I began to look for him. I saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in prostration and was supplicating: "O Lord! Forgive all my hidden and apparent sins."
