حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الرِّشْكِ ، عَنْ مُعَاذَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُومُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ " ، قَالَتْ : فَقُلْتُ : مِنْ أَيِّهِ ؟ فَقَالَتْ : لَمْ يَكُنْ يُبَالِي مِنْ أَيِّهِ كَانَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to fast three days in every month. The narrator asked, "In which part of the month?" She replied that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not mind in which part of the month he fasted.
