حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَ : سَأَلَهَا أَخُوهَا مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ ، عَنْ غُسْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ ؟ " فَدَعَتْ بِمَاءٍ قَدْرَ الصَّاعِ ، فَاغْتَسَلَتْ وَصَبَّتْ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا ثَلَاثًا " .
Abu Salamah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I and a foster brother of Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) presented ourselves before her. Her brother asked her about the ritual bath (ghusl) of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) after sexual impurity. So she called for a vessel equal to one sa’ and began to perform ghusl. She poured water over her head three times, (and at that time there was a curtain between us and her).
