حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : وَاعَدَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جِبْرِيلُ فِي سَاعَةٍ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُ فِيهَا ، فَرَاثَ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُ فِيهَا ، فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَوَجَدَهُ بِالْبَابِ قَائِمًا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنِّي انْتَظَرْتُكَ لِمِيعَادِكَ " ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ فِي الْبَيْتِ كَلْبًا ، وَلَا نَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ كَلْبٌ وَلَا صُورَةٌ ، وَكَانَ تَحْتَ سَرِيرِ عَائِشَةَ جِرْوُ كَلْبٍ ، فَأَمَرَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأُخْرِجَ ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِالْكِلَابِ حِينَ أَصْبَحَ فَقُتِلَتْ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him) promised the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to come at a certain time. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) waited for him at the appointed time, but when he did not come, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went outside the house and saw that he was standing at the door. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I kept waiting for you according to your promise." He replied, "There is a dog inside the house, and we do not enter a house in which there is a dog or pictures." In fact, there was a puppy under the bed of Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). By the order of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), it was immediately taken out, and in the morning the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the killing of dogs.
