حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ صَلَّى صَلَاةً لَمْ يَقْرَأْ فِيهَا بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ ، فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever offers a prayer and does not recite Surah Al-Fatihah in it, his prayer is incomplete.
