حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا بَكَّارٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ الصَّنْعَانِيَّ ، فَذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا . قَالَ : وَسَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ حُوسِبَ عُذِّبَ " . قَالَتْ : فَقُلْتُ : أَرَأَيْتَ قَوْلَهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا سورة الانشقاق آية 8 ؟ قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا ذَاكُمْ الْعَرْضُ ، وَلَكِنْ مَنْ نُوقِشَ الْحِسَابَ عُذِّبَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, whoever is called to account will be subjected to punishment. I said: Has Allah Almighty not said, "Soon there will be an easy reckoning"? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: That will not be an actual reckoning; that will be only a brief presentation. And whoever is questioned in detail about the reckoning on the Day of Resurrection will be seized by punishment.
