حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا وَعِنْدَهَا جَارِيَتَانِ تَضْرِبَانِ بِدُفَّيْنِ ، فَانْتَهَرَهُمَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " دَعْهُنَّ ، فَإِنَّ لِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ عِيدًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once Hazrat Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) came to her place and there were two girls playing the duff. Hazrat Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) scolded them, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, "Leave them, for every nation has a festival."
