Hadith 24948

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ : كَيْفَ كَانَ يَصْنَعُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ فَقَالَتْ : " كَانَ يَكُونُ فِي مِهْنَةِ أَهْلِهِ ، فَإِذَا حَضَرَتْ الصَّلَاةُ خَرَجَ فَصَلَّى " .
Aswad says: I asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "What did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) do in his house?" She replied: He used to be engaged in small household chores with his family, and when the time for prayer came, he would go out for the prayer.
