حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَتَوَضَّأُ بِنَحْوِ الْمُدِّ ، وَيَغْتَسِلُ بِنَحْوِ الصَّاعِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would perform ablution with about one mudd of water and would perform ghusl with about one sa’ of water.
