حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُوَيْسٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ : أَنَّهَا اشْتَرَتْ نَمَطًا فِيهِ تَصَاوِيرُ ، فَأَرَادَتْ أَنْ تَصْنَعَهُ حَجَلَةً ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَرَتْهُ إِيَّاهُ ، وَأَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهَا تُرِيدُ أَنْ تَصْنَعَهُ حَجَلَةً ، فَقَالَ لَهَا : " اقْطَعِيهِ وِسَادَتَيْنِ " . قَالَتْ : فَفَعَلْتُ ، فَكُنْتُ أَتَوَسَّدُهُمَا ، وَيَتَوَسَّدُهُمَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said that once she bought a sheet on which there were some pictures, and her intention was to make a canopy from it. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) came, she showed it to him and expressed her intention. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Cut it and make two cushions from it." So I did so, and both I and the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to lean against them.
