حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ الْعَتَكِيُّ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ يَنَّاقٍ ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ : أَنَّ جَارِيَةً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ زُوِّجَتْ وَأَنَّهَا مَرِضَتْ ، فَتَمَعَّطَ شَعَرُهَا ، فَأَرَادُوا أَنْ يَصِلُوهُ ، فَسَأَلُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْوِصَالِ ، " فَلَعَنَ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that a woman came to her and said, "My daughter has recently gotten married, she has fallen ill and her hair is falling out. Can I have other hair attached to her head?" She replied that the Prophet (peace be upon him) cursed both the one who attaches hair and the one who has it attached.
