حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ فِرَاشِهِ فِي بَعْضِ اللَّيْلِ ، فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ يُرِيدُ بَعْضَ نِسَائِهِ ، فَتَبِعْتُهُ حَتَّى قَامَ عَلَى الْمَقَابِرِ ، فَقَالَ : " السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ دَارَ قَوْمٍ مُؤْمِنِينَ ، وَإِنَّا بِكُمْ لَاحِقُونَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَحْرِمْنَا أَجْرَهُمْ ، وَلَا تَفْتِنَّا بَعْدَهُمْ " . قَالَتْ : فَالْتَفَتَ فَرَآنِي ، فَقَالَ : " وَيْحَهَا لَوْ تَسْتَطِيعُ مَا فَعَلَتْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that one night I did not find the Prophet (peace be upon him) on my bed. I thought he had gone to one of his wives. I went out searching and found out that he was in Jannat al-Baqi. When I reached there, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Peace be upon you, O abode of a believing people. You have preceded us, and we are to join you. O Allah! Do not deprive us of their reward and do not put us to trial after them." Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) turned and saw me, and said: Alas! If she had the strength, she would not have done this.
