حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ ، عَنْ بُدَيْلِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْجَوْزَاءِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ : أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يَسْتَفْتِحُ الْقِرَاءَةَ بِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ سورة الفاتحة آية 2 " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would begin the recitation with Surah Al-Fatiha.
