Saibah, who was the freed slave woman of Fakih bin Mughira, says: Once I went to the service of Hazrat Aisha and saw a spear placed in her house. I asked her, "O Mother of the Believers! What do you do with this spear?" She replied, "It is kept for these lizards, and I kill them with it, because the Prophet (peace be upon him) narrated this hadith to us: When Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was thrown into the fire, there was no animal on the earth that did not try to extinguish the fire except the lizard, which was blowing on it (to ignite it further). Therefore, the Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered us to kill the lizard."
