حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ ، وَعَفَّانُ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَإِنَّهُ لَمَكْتُوبٌ فِي الْكِتَابِ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ، فَإِذَا كَانَ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ تَحَوَّلَ فَعَمِلَ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَمَاتَ ، فَدَخَلَ النَّارَ ، وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ، وَإِنَّهُ لَمَكْتُوبٌ فِي الْكِتَابِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ، فَإِذَا كَانَ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ تَحَوَّلَ ، فَعَمِلَ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ، فَمَاتَ ، فَدَخَلَهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Sometimes a person is performing the deeds of the people of Paradise, but in the Preserved Tablet his name is written among the people of Hell. So, shortly before his death, he begins to do the deeds of the people of Hell and dies in that state and thus enters Hell. Similarly, a man is performing the deeds of the people of Hell, but in the Preserved Tablet his name is written among the people of Paradise. Therefore, shortly before his death, he begins to do the deeds of the people of Paradise and dies in that state and thus enters Paradise.
