حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، وَذَكَرَ رَجُلًا آخَرَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُصِيبُ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ مِنْ أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ ، ثُمَّ يَنَامُ وَلَا يَمَسُّ مَاءً ، فَإِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ ، عَادَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ وَاغْتَسَلَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that sometimes ghusl (ritual bath) would become obligatory upon the Prophet (peace be upon him), and the Prophet (peace be upon him) would sleep without touching water. Then, after sleeping, when he would wake up in the last part of the night, he would go to his wife again and then perform ghusl.
