حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، قَالَ سَالِمٌ : وَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : " كُنْتُ أُطَيِّبُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَمَا يَرْمِي الْجَمْرَةَ ، قَبْلَ أَنْ يُفِيضَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ " ، قَالَ سَالِمٌ : فَسُنَّةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَحَقُّ أَنْ نَأْخُذَ بِهَا مِنْ قَوْلِ عُمَرَ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that after the stoning of Jamrah Aqabah and before the Tawaf al-Ziyarah, I used to apply perfume to the Prophet (peace be upon him). Salim says that acting upon the Sunnah of the Messenger is more rightful than adopting the statement of Hazrat Umar.
