حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، وَعَفَّانُ ، وَرَوْحٌ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " رُفِعَ الْقَلَمُ عَنْ ثَلَاثَةٍ : عَنِ الصَّبِيِّ حَتَّى يَحْتَلِمَ ، وَعَنِ النَّائِمِ حَتَّى يَسْتَيْقِظَ ، وَعَنِ الْمَعْتُوهِ حَتَّى يَعْقِلَ " قَالَ عَفَّانُ : " وَعَنِ الْمَجْنُونِ حَتَّى يَعْقِلَ " . وَقَدْ قَالَ حَمَّادٌ : " وَعَنِ الْمَعْتُوهِ حَتَّى يَعْقِلَ " ، وَقَالَ رَوْحٌ : " وَعَنِ الْمَجْنُونِ حَتَّى يَعْقِلَ ".
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Three types of people are exempt from accountability; no command is applied to them: first, the sleeping person until he wakes up; second, the child until he reaches puberty; and third, the insane person until he regains his senses.
