حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سُلَيْمَانُ الْأَعْمَشُ أَخْبَرَنِي ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، قالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْقَاسِمَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " نَاوِلِينِي الْخُمْرَةَ " ، قَالَتْ : إِنِّي حَائِضٌ ؟ قَالَ : " إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ فِي يَدِكِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that once the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to me, "Pick up the mat from the mosque and give it to me." I said, "I am in my days (of menstruation)." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Your menstruation is not in your hand."
