حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ ، عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ : أَخْبِرِينِي بِدُعَاءٍ كَانَ يَدْعُو بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَتْ : كَانَ يُكْثِرُ أَنْ يَقُولَ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا عَمِلْتُ ، وَمَنْ شَرِّ مَا لَمْ أَعْمَلْ " .
Furwah bin Nawfal says that I asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the supplication of the Prophet (peace be upon him), so she replied that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to frequently make this supplication: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the evil of those things which I have done and which I have not done.
