حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : " قَدْ خَيَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نِسَاءَهُ " ، أَفَكَانَ طَلَاقًا ؟ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) gave us the choice to stay with him or to choose the world. We chose the Prophet (peace be upon him), so the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not consider it as any divorce upon us.
