حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْبِتْعِ وَالْبِتْعُ نَبِيذُ الْعَسَلِ ، وَكَانَ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ يَشْرَبُونَهُ ، فَقَالَ : " كُلُّ شَرَابٍ أَسْكَرَ فَهُوَ حَرَامٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that once a person asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) about the honey-based drink "which the people of Yemen used to drink." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Every drink that intoxicates is forbidden.
