حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ كَمْ كَانَ صَدَاقُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَتْ : " كَانَ صَدَاقُهُ لِأَزْوَاجِهِ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ أُوقِيَّةً وَنَشًّا " ، قَالَتْ : أَتَدْرِي مَا النَّشُّ ؟ قُلْتُ : لَا ، قَالَتْ : نِصْفُ أُوقِيَّةٍ ، فَتِلْكَ خَمْسُ مِئَةِ دِرْهَمٍ ، " فَهَذَا صَدَاقُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَزْوَاجِهِ " .
Abu Salamah says that I asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "How much dowry did the Prophet (peace be upon him) give to his wives?" She replied, "The Prophet (peace be upon him) gave each of his wives twelve uqiyah and one nash." She then asked, "Do you know what a 'nash' is?" I said, "No." She said, "Half an uqiyah. This totals five hundred dirhams, and this is the dowry that the Prophet (peace be upon him) gave to his pure wives."
