حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " مَا خُيِّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ أَمْرَيْنِ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ ، إِلَّا اخْتَارَ أَيْسَرَهُمَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him) was given a choice between two things in Islam, he (peace be upon him) would choose the easier of the two.
