حَدَّثَنَا
إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي
مُسْلِمٌ ، عَنْ
هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ
عَائِشَةَ : أَنَّ رَجُلًا ابْتَاعَ غُلَامًا ، فَاسْتَغَلَّهُ ، ثُمَّ وَجَدَ أَوْ رَأَى بِهِ عَيْبًا ، فَرَدَّهُ بِالْعَيْبِ ، فَقَالَ الْبَائِعُ : غَلَّةُ عَبْدِي ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" الْغَلَّةُ بِالضَّمَانِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that a man bought a slave, put him to work, then found some defect in him and returned him to the seller. The seller said, "What about the wages for the days my slave worked?" So the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "The profit from earnings is linked with the liability of guarantee."
