حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ : أَنَّ رَجُلًا ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " بِئْسَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَخُو الْعَشِيرَةِ " ، ثُمَّ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَجَعَلَ يُكَلِّمُهُ ، ثُمَّ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقْبِلُ عَلَيْهِ بِوَجْهِهِ ، حَتَّى ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّ لَهُ عِنْدَهُ مَنْزِلَةً .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that once a man came to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and sought permission to enter. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "He is a very bad man of his tribe." When he came inside, the Prophet (peace be upon him) spoke to him gently, and I saw that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was giving him so much attention that I began to think perhaps he holds a very high status in the court of the Messenger.
