حَدَّثَنَا
حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ
عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ
عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" كَانَ الْكَافِرُ مِنْ كُفَّارِ قُرَيْشٍ يَمُوتُ ، فَيَبْكِيهِ أَهْلُهُ فَيَقُولُونَ : الْمُطْعِمُ الْجِفَانَ الْمُقَاتِلُ الَّذِي . . . ، فَيَزِيدُهُ اللَّهُ عَذَابًا بِمَا يَقُولُونَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man from among the disbelievers of Quraysh was dying, and his family, weeping over him, were saying, "He was one who filled pots with food and was a warrior." And because of their saying this, Allah Almighty would further increase his punishment.
