It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when Sayyiduna Ma'iz bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to confess his crime, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Perhaps you kissed her, or teased her, or looked at her?" He replied: "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Did you have intercourse with her?" He said: "Yes!" Then, on the order of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he was stoned to death.
