حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، وَأَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ الْمَعْنَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْلَا حَدَاثَةُ عَهْدِ قَوْمِكِ بِالْكُفْرِ ، لَنَقَضْتُ الْكَعْبَةَ ، ثُمَّ جَعَلْتُهَا عَلَى أُسِّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام ، فَإِنَّ قُرَيْشًا يَوْمَ بَنَتْهَا اسْتَقْصَرَتْ ، وَلَجَعَلْتُ لَهَا خَلْفًا " ، قَالَ أَبُو أُسَامَةَ " خِلْفًا ".
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If your people were not close to the time of disbelief, I would demolish the Kaaba and rebuild it upon the foundations of Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him), because when the Quraysh built it, they left out a part of it, and I would also make a door at the back of it.
