حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَتُقَبِّلُ الصِّبْيَانَ ؟ ! فَوَاللَّهِ مَا نُقَبِّلُهُمْ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا أَمْلِكُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ نَزَعَ مِنْ قَلْبِكَ الرَّحْمَةَ ؟ ! .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once a Bedouin came to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Do you kiss children? By Allah, we do not kiss them." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "I have no power over this matter; when Allah Himself has removed mercy from your heart (then how can I put it in?)."
