It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, it was the most epidemic-prone area on Allah’s earth, due to which Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) fell ill. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed to Allah: O Allah! Grant us love for Madinah like we have for Makkah, or even greater; make it suitable for us; bless its mudd and sa’ for us; and transfer its fever towards Juhfa.
