Hadith 24273

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Bilal gives the call to prayer when there is still a portion of the night remaining, so after his call you may eat and drink, until Ibn Umm Maktum gives the call to prayer. She says: To my knowledge, the interval between the two calls was only as much as it would take for someone to descend and another to ascend.
