Hadith 242

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " رَخَّصَ فِي الْحَرِيرِ فِي إِصْبَعَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted men to wear silk equal to two fingers in width.
