It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that we used to prepare nabidh for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a waterskin, and it was done in such a way that we would take a handful of raisins or dates and put them in the waterskin, then pour water over them. It would remain like that overnight, and in the morning the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would drink it. If it was prepared during the day, then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would drink it at night.
