Hadith 24108

عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ جَاءَتْ سَهْلَةُ بِنْتُ سُهَيْلٍ ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ ، إِنِّي أَرَى فِي وَجْهِ أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ شَيْئًا مِنْ دُخُولِ سَالِمٍ عَلَيَّ ؟ فَقَالَ : " أَرْضِعِيهِ " ، فَقَالَتْ : كَيْفَ أُرْضِعُهُ وَهُوَ رَجُلٌ كَبِيرٌ ؟ فَضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَلَسْتُ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ رَجُلٌ كَبِيرٌ ؟ " ، ثُمَّ جَاءَتْ ، فَقَالَتْ مَا رَأَيْتُ فِي وَجْهِ أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ شَيْئًا أَكْرَهُهُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that Sahla bint Suhail (may Allah be pleased with her) once came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I see signs of displeasure on the face of (my husband) Hudhaifa due to the coming and going of Salim at my place." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Breastfeed him." She said, "He is a grown man, how can I breastfeed him?" Upon hearing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) laughed and said, "Do I not know that he is a grown man?" After a short while, she came again and said, "Now I do not see any signs of dislike on Hudhaifa's face."
